We've done the Top of Utah marathon and the Teton Dam Marathon. Until now, I've always thought it was silly to pay to run just 13.1 miles. I mean, it's only like $10 more for twice as many miles. The half marathoners always get ripped off. But since I'm still recuperating, and I want to run a race with my sisters, the plan for this fall is the Prison Break half-marathon in Boise. Then I'll be good and ready for the Teton Dam Marathon next summer...Us before the Teton Dam Marathon in 2007, showing our numbers and looking like the dorks we are. Fun times.

The last Ugly Betty video moment I'll post...
Okay, it's Sunday, and Ben and I don't watch TV on Sundays. (Although uploading this is just as guilty!) But I stopped watching the season finale last night at this exact scene and I'm dying to know what happens...
I'll wake up early tomorrow.

Human Shield
This is an "appropriate" clip of Ugly Betty (unlike the Amanda one). Oh, and it's a great reminder of the brutality of junior high school...

One of my favorite TV moments...
As you may know, I am obsessed with Ugly Betty. This video captures one of my favorite TV moments: Amanda singing "Milkshake" at Wilhamina's formal wedding. Enjoy!
Oh, and forewarning, there are is some inappropriate language in this video.

Today reminds me of winter
Now that I am finally healing up and can walk around like a normal person with a club foot (since I still don't have all feeling back in my foot), I want to go outside. But Rexburg is still having cold weather. At least it's only raining.
With the bum weather, it reminded me of winter and all the things we did to entertain ourselves. We went ice fishing, which I thought seemed all cool and adventurous but really was the laziest fishing trip I've ever had. Since the holes but in the ice are so small, you practically sit on top of them and you don't have to worry about falling in or your kids falling in. We ended up just sitting on our fishing pails all day and beings bums. And no, we didn't catch any fish. I don't think with all the times Ben and I have gone fishing (which has been quite a few) that we've ever caught any fish. We stink like that.

These are my angry eyes...
When we left the hospital, Fisher gave us a good scowl so we would know how he felt. These are his angry eyes.
And much nicer are his happy eyes:
And a picture of Indy so he doesn't feel neglected:

Two years since "Naked Man"
It has officially been two years since our heroic rescue of Naked Man. We don't remember Naked Man's real name, so henceforth he will be called "Naked Man" or "NM."Here we have a picture of Ben, Jennilyn, and Naked Man after the great rescue. Notice NM is still wearing Ben's socks, which he never gave back.
So how did we rescue NM? Here's a shortened version of the epic story:
Ben and I went to Flaming Gorge for a vacation. We took the heavy aluminum canoe named "Flo Jo" with us. I was about 7 months pregnant, so we figured we'd take it easy and do some paddling, fishing, and hiking before tourist season started and the park got crowded.
On our last day there, ironically a cold, snowy morning, we took the canoe into the actually gorge for the first time (prior we had only done lakes). After paddling for a little bit, we heard some cries for help. We couldn't see anyone, not even any boaters. We worried someone had just gone underwater, and we paddled faster.
We heard the cries again, and were able to pinpoint them from coming off of a distant hill. We paddled over, and as we did Ben recognized that the man was naked, and instructed me not to look, which I willingly obeyed.
Once we got there the cries got violent. The old man was demanding that we bring him all of our warm clothes immediately, and to hurry up about it. Ben took our warmies and headed up, and I was worried he was going to get robbed and beaten. But he didn't. He came back with a chubby, hairy old man who was wearing my thermal top and my camping vest around his privates. I was grossed out.
We paddled him back and flagged down a Sheriff. Meanwhile, NM was in shock and shaking heavily, commenting on how he didn't think he was going to make it. He did. The Sheriffs were glad that we saved him, there weren't many people out that morning, and any boaters that were out weren't in a canoe probably wouldn't have heard him. NM's boat had capsized, he swam it to shore and stripped off his clothes trying to stay warm.
It has been two years since that crazy and random experience. I highly recommend flaming gorge to anyone.

Who's who?
You all THINK the kids look different, but do they? Can you tell which one is Indy and which one is Fisher? Or am I being tricky and are they both the same baby?

Summer Lovin'
We went to grandma's house to play in the sun yesterday, and Ben got to play with his new toy (the video camera). He captured Indy with his twin girlfriends.. or cousins... on the slip'n'slide. None of them seem to stay standing very long.
Ben also played on the slip'n'slide. But it popped.
Okay, so it didn't pop. But still.

Baby Fisher

Now that I'm done with school, we're trying out this blogging thing. Anyways, here's a picture of our newest addition, Fisher Jay Eaton. He was born on April 30th. He was 8lbs and 21 inches long. Already he's grown taller, and he's almost too tall for all of his clothes!
Since Fisher went through a whole lot of pushing (and was posterior) but never quite made it into the birth canal (he was an emergency c-section) he got quite a beating. Here's a sad picture of what he looked like when he first came out:
Ben says he looked like Quazi Moto. But he looks much better now!
