Indy had a "Bob the Builder" birthday party. It was pretty fun, the kids colored a Bob the Builder coloring page, stuck popsicle sticks into floral foam to "build" something, and then went outside with water guns for free play.
Here's the kids "building:"
Indy's birthday "cake" (really it was vanillay pudding with crushed oreos and gummy worms in a new dumptruck to make dumptruck dirt). I'm not big on pudding, but the kids scarfed it down!

Indy is a TERRIBLE two... and why I want to potty train.
Mistake #1: Expecting that Indy would be able to fall asleep for his nap a couple hours early, like he does every Sunday.
Mistake #2: Assuming that our encouragement of his use of his potty would not effect his inability to remove his pants and diaper.
Mistake #3: Taking my time to curl my hair and feed the baby before seeing if quiet Indy was really asleep.
The outcome: Hmmm.... How to best describe it? I walk into Indy's room, and he's jumping on the bed with his toy "Lofty" in his hand, which has a lump of poop on it, which he had been using to paint the walls. The are poo handprints on the walls, the bed, his pillow, and a large portion of his toy car collection.
All an hour before I am supposed to meet Ben at church with clean, clothed boys. Oh, and I forgot to mention, Indy's only church outfit it also poo-spotted.
Needless to say, I made some phone calls and said I wouldn't be making it to my meeting on time. Indy watched movies (baby-gated in) while I cleaned and Fisher screamed.
I have many cute pictures of my children when they are well-behaved and happy to post to catch-up the blog, but I needed to vent first. Thanks.

happy birthday Indy???!
For Indy's birthday he got a trip to community care, pink eye in both eyes, an ear infection, and a temperature of 103. He spent the entire day watching movies on the laptop and whimpering in pain.
Poor Fisher has had a horrible coughing fits that keep getting worse, so he's been doing breathing treatments at home.Indy shared his pink eye with Ben, and I caught a cough (which fortunately isn't as bad as Fisher's). The result? Ben's taken a day and half of sick time right before a race he's in charge of, and I've been cranky and tired trying to lay down on the couch whenever possible. So all that fun you saw posted earlier and my "no more than 30 mins of movies per day" has gone out the drain and in replacement we've watched a healthy average of three movies per day. Fun stuff.

Fun in the sun
We played at Rigby Lake and the spray park once we got back. We've been eager to enjoy the warm weather!

Playtime in Logan
While in Logan, we went to the "This is the place" park. I'll admit, I thought it was going to be cheesy and a waste of money. To my surprise, it wasn't! It was great! All the kids had a blast and even I was interested in all the stuff there. We didn't even have enough time to see the whole park because there was so much to do there! It was fun to hang out with Mom and Dad, even though both were so sick. We even did a mini-birthday party for Indy with all of the kids.
Indy LOVED riding the pony. He took several rides, and he didn't even need us to walk beside him!Brigham and Indy, the crazy two year old twins on the wooden train:
We also went to Hyrum Resevoir to swim. It was pretty neat! There was lots of shade for the babies and even trees that grew straight out of the water!

"The City" Rocks!
We went to the City of Rocks with my sisters Kim and Kirstin and their kids, as well as my parents who helped babysit. There were 12 kids in all! We had a walkie talkie system going, and base camp would call me everytime Fisher needed to eat. I would then run to the car, drive back to camp, feed the baby and hurry back to the climbers. It was a great system, and we found our walkie-talkies worked throughout the entire park! It was a blast, we had fun taking Kim and Ben and their kids out. Here's a few pics of the trip:
Indy and Brigham made lots of trouble and messes! They also refused to look at the camera at the same time.A three generation photo of Jennilyn, Indy, and Dad.

This picture captures Mom well... What a trooper! She came to the City the morning after breaking her arm in multiple places. She also took some pain meds that made her sick... and she still came camping!
All in all, the trip was great! We didn't get as much climbing in as we had planned, but with that many kids, how could we?
